The triumphal arch of Astana is a symbolic architectural structure is risen in honor of the anniversary independence of Kazakhstan on the idea of Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The height of the structure is equal to 20 meters, which symbolizes the 20th anniversary of Independence of Kazakhstan. On pedestals there are niches in which relief sculptures are located, reflecting the mentality of the Kazakh nation.
To the left of the arch span is the sculpture of Aksakal – symbol of wisdom wisdom, the carrier of spirituality and thought of the people. To the right of the arch span in the niche is a relief sculpture Women – mother of the hearth keeper. And on top of the front part The Triumphal Arch is marked with the inscription “Mangylik El”, which has a larger semantic value.
Inside the arch, while climbing, along the staircases, there are landscape, reportage and genre photographs telling visitors the history of the city.
For the general viewer the arch was opened on May 11, 2017. In the triumphal arch, viewers can get acquainted with the history of the city and the capital, visit the hall of periodic exhibitions, before going up to the viewing platform, viewers see the majestic, solemn figures of warriors-sculptures: “Batyr, guarding the day” and “Batyr guarding the night” (author Mansurov M.A.).
There are exhibited Permanent photo exhibitions on the stairwells “History of the city of Akmolinsk-Tselinograd-Akmola-Astana” and “Modern Astana”.
Five sensory information kiosks with materials “Multimedia Capital”, “Triumphal Arch of the World”, “History of the City”, “Modern Astana” and “Historical and Cultural Heritage of Astana” are installed in the hall.
Having visited the Arc of Triumph, you will touch not only the culture, but also the newest history of Kazakhstan. The whole history of the formation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the heritage of the Kazakh people is embedded in the idea of a triumphal arch.
The triumphal arch “Mangilik El” in Astana is the place that every resident and guest of the capital must visit.
